Pune to Kolhapur is about 230 km via NH 48 through Satara. Expect 4.5–5 hours one way. The road is mostly highway-quality; the last stretch into Kolhapur city can be slower on market days.

Best Time for Darshan
The temple opens early — aim to reach by 7–8 AM for shorter queues. Fridays, Navratri, and full-moon days are busier. Evening aarti is popular; if you stay overnight, morning darshan the next day is calmer.
Same-Day vs Overnight
Same-day: Leave Pune by 5 AM, darshan by late morning, lunch in the city, return by 8–9 PM. Long day but doable.
Overnight: More relaxed — evening drive, hotel near temple, morning darshan, explore Rankala Lake or Panhala Fort on the way back.
