Fixed fare means you know the total cost before the trip starts. No meter anxiety, no surprise charges at the end. This works best for point-to-point trips on known routes — like Pune to Mumbai or Mumbai to Goa.
Per-km pricing (typically ₹11–14/km for sedans) works for flexible itineraries where you might add stops. But watch the minimum km clause — many operators charge a 250-300 km minimum per day even if you drive less.

2. Driver Verification
For outstation trips, you are alone with a driver for hours. Ask if the service shares driver details in advance — name, photo, licence plate, phone number. Professional operators verify licences and run background checks. If a service cannot tell you who your driver is before pickup, reconsider.
3. Vehicle Condition and Age
Outstation highways demand reliable vehicles. Ask what car models are available and what the maximum vehicle age is. A sedan that works fine for city rides might have worn tyres or weak AC that becomes a problem over 4 hours on the expressway.

Plans change. Check the cancellation window — is it free up to 24 hours? 12 hours? Some aggregators charge 100% for cancellations within 2 hours, which can be harsh if your flight gets delayed. Read the policy before paying.
5. AC and Comfort
Non-AC might seem cheaper but is uncomfortable beyond 90 minutes on Indian highways, especially April–October. Confirm that AC is included in the quoted price and not an add-on. Also check if the vehicle has working charging points — important for long trips.
6. Luggage Space
A sedan boot fits 2 large suitcases comfortably. If you have more luggage or bulky items, book an SUV or MUV. Mention luggage when booking so the right vehicle is assigned — showing up at pickup with excess bags creates problems for everyone.
7. Payment Transparency
